How many have Home Ethernet Wiring that looks something like this and doesn't know what it's for or doesn't use it?

What are these wires good for?
Home Ethernet is good for a variety of things, including:
- Gaming: Ethernet provides a more stable and reliable connection than Wi-Fi, which is important for gaming.
- Streaming: Ethernet can provide faster speeds for streaming video and audio, which is vital for watching high-definition content.
- File sharing: Ethernet is a great way to share files between computers on a network.
- Work from home: Ethernet can provide a more reliable connection for working from home.
- Home security: Ethernet can connect security cameras and other devices to a network, which can help you improve the safety of your home.
Overall, Home Ethernet is a great way to improve the performance and reliability of your home network. If you are looking for the best possible experience, consider wiring your home for Ethernet.
Here are some additional benefits of using Home Ethernet:
- Security: Ethernet is more secure than Wi-Fi because it is not as susceptible to interference from other devices.
- Stability: Ethernet is more stable than Wi-Fi because it is not affected by walls and other objects.
- Speed: Ethernet is faster than Wi-Fi, especially for transferring large files.
- Consistent performance: Ethernet provides a consistent level of performance, regardless of how many devices are connected to the network.
If you are looking for the best possible internet experience in your home, Home Ethernet is the way to go.
What do I need to use those wires?
The basic components you need for a home network are:
- A modem: This is the device that connects your home to the internet.
- A router: This is the device that controls how devices on your network communicate with each other and the internet. These can be combined with a modem and these are called Gateways.
- A switch: This is a device that allows you to connect multiple devices to your network using a single Ethernet port. Most gateways only have 2 to 4 ethernet ports so we recommend you get a switch that will have at least as many ports as you have ethernet jacks in your home.
- Ethernet cables: These are the cables that you use to connect your devices to the router and switch.
- Wireless access point: This device allows you to connect wireless devices to your network. These are also sometimes part of your gateway device.
